This state-of-the-art training facility is built fit for football royalty, located on the outskirts of Manchester. Protech Roofing was part of a £20 million refurbishment project by the Eric Wright Group, installing an elite Sarnafil waterproofing system with a rubber crumb on top for foot traffic.
The new extension to the Manchester United training ground required a reputable supplier and installer of Sarnafil roofing and Protech Roofing quickly stepped up to the task. Alex Ferguson, the manager at the time, needed a balcony that extended across the training ground. Our task was to deliver this, taking into account the need to create a fall for the terrace on the flat pre-cast concrete substrate. We also had to ensure our installation was waterproof, with a fast installation time, as well as providing a 20-year guarantee with a 40-plus year life expectancy.
With a project that needed to be delivered in four weeks, we exceeded the client’s expectations and finished ahead of schedule in three weeks.
