GMI needed to create a city centre living Garden landscape, this involved waterproofing the existing car park in Bauder hot melt.
It is now fashionable for developers to create a city centre living roof garden landscape area, for recreational use and well-being.
Working closely with GMI DPG architects and Bauder, we developed different waterproofing details to interface with the existing building. We had to remove the existing asphalt, prime and prepare the surface. We then installed Bauder monolithic hot melt system. This robust waterproofing allowed the fast paced construction to continue without accidental damage to the membrane. Before the landscaping was installed, we had the membrane electronically tested, and repaired the identified defects before we installed the landscaping.
